1. 超分子液晶

水素結合は、自然界で最も重要な相互作用の一つである。生体は、この水素結合を巧みに用いて、 高効率・高選択性の遺伝情報伝達・分子変換や構造構築を行っている。

我々は、水素結合により液晶分子構造を組み立てる「超分子液晶」を創製し、新しい一群の 機能性材料を生み出してきている。水素結合の特徴を活用して、適当な刺激により、動的に 構造を変化させる刺激・環境応答性液晶を構築した。
